(Apr. 4, 2016) 5 Points Local, a restaurant and yoga studio in the 5 Points Neighborhood on North Flores Street, joined ¡Por Vida!, a Metro Health healthy dining program. 5 Points Local will offer ¡Por Vida! meals from their gluten-free kitchen with a menu of offerings that highlight locally-sourced ingredients.
(March 8, 2016) A hospital’s job is to make people healthy. That mission extends to the cafeteria, and now visitors to University Hospital’s cafeteria will soon have a wider selection of healthy meals to choose from. On March 9, in time for National Nutrition Month, University Hospital’s cafeteria will relaunch its participation in the San Antonio-area ¡Por Vida! campaign, aimed at promoting healthier food choices in area food establishments. Menu items that carry the ¡Por Vida! labeling must follow strict nutritional guidelines.

This clip will be aired in April, directing community members to the PorVidaSA.com website to seek out the healthy dining options in San Antonio. (March 1, 2016) March is National Nutrition Month and the Baptist Health System has re-committed to serving a healthy ¡Por Vida! menu option every day in their cafeterias throughout their San Antonio hospitals including Mission Trials, Northeast, North Central, Medical Center, and St. Lukes.
